Springy Break

All good things have themes: kids' birthday parties, classic literature,
and, of course, Spring Breaks.

This year's theme: Bears and Fish

This was Molly's first "Build-A-Bear" experience and she ate it up. She lovingly chose and brought to life Sydney, an Australian Koala Bear. Sydney's real-life bio: she's a hipster fashion photographer, who has a passion for Pinterest, guavas and Ryan Gosling.

Sometimes Moms love Build-A-Bear, too.

Sydney likes to get her herr did while listening to "All the Single Ladies"

Little-known fact: Mollys and Koala Bears hibernate best with snuggles.

We headed up to Flaming Gorge to fish with Captain Kyle Edwards and caught GIANT mackinaw. You know a fish is GIANT when it's big enough to hug.

Even Brian caught one :)

Another little-known fact: The Geneva Convention mandates that
upon catching a 25-pound fish, you MUST take a photo like this.

Just upholding international law.

Ice-off at Strawberry = 21 inch cutthroat trout, hurray!

In conclusion, this paper discussed that Spring Break's theme was Bears and Fish for these three reasons: Ryan Gosling, Switzerland, and Snuggles.

The Artist

Molly decided to pay tribute to the newest Best Picture Award Winner- The Artist.

First, there was some instruction from a master artist. Hi, Grandpa John!

Then, some in-depth collaborative discussion.

Followed by some guided practice.

Finally, get out of the way Grandpa, I gots this!

Like all good artists, Molly thinks outside of the box . . .

and dives into her work. Bravo!

* Special thanks to Grandpa John!

Easter Time!

Molly in her BEAUTIFUL Easter dress. Thanks Larissa!

This egg is awesome!

Pink eggs are especially delicious.

Hey guys, I found one.

I know I left my favorite egg down here somewhere...

Ok, I'll share.

Easter morning basket fun.

Who doesn't get a mermaid for Easter? It's a common tradition.

Easter was so much fun it left us overwhelmed, but so content.

The one and only

Molly is getting SO big! She's nine months on April 28th. Time flies when you're having fun!
Here our some pictures of our beautiful baby!

Can you even believe how cute she is?

I love this face! I'm not quite sure what she's disgusted by, but she's disgusted.

Wild hair for a wild girl!

Molly loves her little whale that swam all the way over from Hawaii.
Thanks Matt and Brigette!

Check out these eyelashes! They are gorgeous! Not only are they long, but they curl!
She sure didn't get them from me, she has her dad to thank for those lovely lashes!

The furry babies

Just wanted to love on our dogs a little. They are pretty stupid but I love them bunches.

Delilah and her pretty little self.

Moses gets sleepy sometimes.

Whatever toy one dog has is the toy the other dog wants. Here we were playing fetch.
Delilah is the only one who actually will retrieve a toy but Moses likes to help.

The puppies are always interested in what's going down.

It's been a while...

Blogging is a little hard. For me anyway. Oh well. Let's catch up a bit.

Perhaps you have noticed the fishing counter. We decided to set a goal to catch 50 fish starting when the ice melted and ending when...it freezes? I'm not really sure, but we set a goal to catch a bunch of fish. Anyway- Brian, an excellent fisherman, has nearly completed this goal single-handedly and it's not even summer yet. So, we might be changing our goal soon. Here are some pics of one of our fishing excursions.

This is an Albino Rainbow Trout. If you cover up the scary red eye it's a pretty cool looking fish. But when you can't cover up the eye- it's kind of a freaky looking.
